Meet the Captain
Originally from eastern Long Island, Capt. George Grosselfinger guided for trophy striped bass guaranteeing a 30lb or better fish or it was a free charter during summer months. Before being a full time resident of Pine Island , Capt. George earned two Masters Degrees and was awarded The Most Inspirational Teacher in 2003 by the President and the US Department of Education.
Both novices and experts in Snook fishing still enjoy listening and learning. Putting a smile on your face as you hook trophy Snook with artificial lures only, is what Capt. George is all about.

EQUIPMENT
For shallow water fishing of Pine Island Sound, Sanibel, Captiva and nearby mangrove islands, Capt. George used two boats.
An 18' Back Bay flats boat powered by Yamaha. The boat is equipped with a jack plate and trim tabs for a smooth ride. Dry storage for personal items and rods and reels.
For one person charters, and to get into fishing areas no one else can get to, Capt. George runs a 16' John Dory with a 4-stroke Honda 30hp.
Capt. George's rods and reels include some of the best tackle on the market. St. Croix rods, Shimano Sustain and Quantum Cabo reels.
